Institute for Operational Excellence Launches Northwest Training Program

Author Kevin J. Duggan will present material from his latest book, Design for Operational Excellence, published by McGraw-Hill.

North Kingstown, Rhode Island (PRWEB) January 30, 2012

The Institute for Operational Excellence, the leading educational center providing training and innovative products for achieving Operational Excellence, announced today that it has teamed with dental equipment manufacturer A-dec to host a two-day open enrollment training program on Operational Excellence called “The Office that Grows Your Business.” The event will be held at A-dec world headquarters in Newberg, Oregon, on April 17 and 18, 2012.

Based on material from the new book published by McGraw-Hill and authored by Institute founder, Kevin Duggan, called Design for Operational Excellence: A Breakthrough Strategy for Business Growth, the course is designed for all levels of office personnel who want to learn the principles of Operational Excellence, including staff from sales and marketing, HR, finance and accounting, customer service and business owners and leaders. At the event, attendees will learn:

How to improve cash flow and sales volume by spending less time managing their business and more time on activities that grow the bottom line.
The techniques to create flow in an office that result in improved lead time and customer service, as well as reduced time to market for new products.
How companies such as Pratt & Whitney, Curtiss-Wright, United Technologies Corporation and Parker Hannifin have used these lean principles to grow their businesses.

The training program will be lead by the Institute’s faculty, who have years of global experience teaching and applying the principles of Operational Excellence.

“Following the success of our Northeast Regional Training Program last fall, we decided to expand our reach by taking the session to another corner of the country, and A-dec was the perfect affiliate for this initiative,” said Kevin Duggan, Institute founder. “As a company that embraces a culture of continuous improvement, A-dec attended our Northeast event to learn how to evolve their lean efforts for business growth. The company has become an Operational Excellence advocate so they were eager to open the doors of the A-dec Education Center to help others understand how to achieve it.”

The two-day training price is $ 595 for Institute members and $ 750 for non-members. Registration is available online at http://www.instituteopex.com/northwest.
