Irene Hosford Earns LEED® Green Associate Accreditation

Brown McCarroll, L.L.P. real estate partner Irene Hosford has earned accreditation as a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Green Associate (LEED® Green Associate). The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) awards this non-legal accreditation to professionals who successfully pass an exam that tests an individual’s knowledge of green building practices and the LEED® rating system. Hosford joins a group of 27 Texas attorneys who hold a LEED® Green Associate or LEED® Accredited Professional accreditation, according to the USGBC website.
The LEED® green building certification system is the nationally accepted third-party benchmark for measurable sustainable design, construction, operations and maintenance.
Hosford’s understanding of LEED® principles will benefit commercial real estate companies seeking to provide extra value to their clients in the context of design, construction, operational, and leasing legal issues. The accreditation further augments Brown McCarroll’s service offerings to companies oriented toward strengthening their market position through green operations.
